Operational — the dataset is within the freshness and coverage we hold it to. Degraded — it is current enough to use but drifting from that standard. Delayed — it is not current, and figures derived from it should be read with that in mind. Unknown — the age could not be determined, which we show rather than assuming the dataset is fine.
Each check asks about the DATA rather than whether a job finished cleanly, and states a proportion of the relevant population rather than a raw count — a job that stops halfway still fills the column for everything it reached, so a count alone cannot tell a complete pass from a partial one.
